Once we were welcomed to Florence by our innkeeper, Domenico, everything about this establishment far exceeded our expectations. He has every reason to be proud of this property. The beautiful marble, the woodwork, the moldings, and the finishes and the furnishings were fabulous. Our innkeeper was on duty 24/7 during our stay (because his brother was ill), and he could not have been more friendly or more gracious and helpful. Following his instructions, we were able to see more of the attractions of the city than we had expected. We certainly wish we could have stayed longer in Florence, but we certainly wouldn't consider staying anywhere but the Hotel Boccaccio when we return. Nicely fitted bathroom with a good shower. The hotel is located on a sidestreet within 100 paces of the main train station. Florence is a small town and all the main sights are easily covered on foot. If you're feeling lazy, the bus stop is also right next to the train station. Even though this is so close to the station, the room was very quiet (it was facing away from the road)."

"We really enjoyed our stay here, it was a beautiful and comfortable hotel. We had choosen this hotel because previous reviews had said that the rooms were large and they were right, there was plenty of room for the 4 of us in our quad room and we even spread out on the floor one night for a very late picnic dinner when we were too tired to go out. We will definitely tell our friends about the Hotel Orto de' Medici."

It is within walking distance of the train station(with a rolling suitcase)& away, but not too far away, from the crush of other tourists down in the center. Front desk staff were friendly,& very helpful with information & museum reservations. The room was quiet, well laid out with a sparkling glamorous bathroom. Breakfast area was lovely & the coffee great."
