Some typical guests' reviews:
"We were so happy with this hotel. It lived up to all of my expectations. The staff was excellent. Very friendly, full of information on restaurants, directions, and what sights to see. The location was perfect! We were surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and all of the sights. The hotel itself was very charming and full of old world style. Our room was perfect, the bathroom was beautiful. I just can't say enough. Next time we visit Florence we will stay here again. Venere was very helpful in finding this spot. Thanks!"
"It was a great pleasure for us staying in this perfect hotel."
"This is a good hotel in an ideal central location - none of Florence's city attractions are more than a ten to fifteen minute walk and the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio are only a couple of minutes away. Service is efficient and generally friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended."

"Perfect location, very clean and very helpfull staff. Breakfast very good indeed and in a lovely dining room. I would come here again."
"High standards all round."
"A perfect central location to visit all the sights of the city."
"The Hotel Bernini Palace is superbly situated in the heart of Florence. The view from our room was breath-taking; major sites were but a few steps away. The hotel staff was exceptional. Every request (including the procurement of dinner reservations) was handled promptly & professionally. The suite was absolutely exquisite! I cannot envision a trip to Florence without a stay at this lovely hotel."
"Excellent location - just 5 mins from Duomo. Lovely rooms and great buffet breakfast too. We had a great stay here and would definitely return."
"A fantastic location right in the heart of Florence. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great both the food and the setting."
"This hotel is wonderful to stay in. We arrived at the hotel at 2.30am and the night staff were very very helpful. What a nice welcoming. We were on our honeymoon and they showed us two different rooms to choose from with out us even asking. The rooms are beautiful and the bathroom was very very nice with marble everywhere. The breakfast room was lovely and the breakfast the best we have had in all our stays in Europe. The location is perfect. You have to stay here if you come to Florence. It is close to everything. Such esay walking to everything. We even walked to the train station with our luggage. I know you won't be dissappointed if you stay here. We would definitely stay here again if we come to Florence again. Enjoy!"
"This is an excellent hotel, ideally placed in the centre of Florence."
"Friendly staff, great location, beautifully appointed."
"Everything about this hotel was perfect. I especially enjoyed the generous buffet served in the beautiful breakfast room."
"I think that this was a really good choice. The hotel is right in the center of Florence, a couple of minutes walking from the Ufizzi and all the main sights. The personel was welcoming and the room is what we expected. Good noise isolation from the street."
"Have stayed in this hotel many times, and really like it! Great location etc."
"We loved the place so much we decided to extend our stay by an additional 3 days. Excellent breakfast, very friendly, cheerful and helpful staff."
"We were very impressed with this hotel. For its rate it was excellent. Lovely room with well equiped bathroom plus a dressing room. Ideally located for a weekend of sightseeing just a few minutes walk from the Uffizi Gallery and many good restaurants. We will stay here again when we next visit Florence."
"Hotel Bernini Place was and excellent choice for us for a number of reasons location had to be number one. The staff, hotel and surrondings were excellent the price was good value for money. We would recommend it to any one who wants to stay at a quality hotel in Florence. We were a father and daughter travelling together."
"By far, this hotel and its staff surpassed any hotel that I have stayed in, including the Plaza Hotel at New York's Central Park, and the renowned Hotel Del Coronado, in San Diego. The hotel was immaculate, the staff helpful, the rooms were magnificent, and the location was great. Because we were traveling as a family, and booked two rooms, I only booked two regular rooms, but the rooms I stayed in were far nicer than anything I've seen. The decor was far beyond that in any other hotel and the lucious bathrooms were a true pleasure to a weary traveler. Because I travel for pleasure, not business, I watch ever dollar. And every dollar I spend - was a great investment in a memorable stay, and reasonalbe to boot!! "
"The hotel is really marvelous and the service is perfect. Especially the breakfast and the breakfast room (former parliament hall) are fantastic and we would recommend this hotel to everybody. Moreover the location is ideal if you want to visit the historical buildings and museums of Firenze. Conclusion: The Bernini Palace is indeed a Palace!"
"Simply wonderful hotel and great location. The rooms are large and decorated very nice- big bathrooms as well."
"This may be the nicest hotel i have ever stayed in. everything was great. the location was so amazing."
"Everything is perfect. Must absolutely stay there again."
"Actually the hotel is a gem."
"My partner and I spent 4 days in Florence at the Bernini Palace. Our room was a very spacious double superior overlooking a quiet court. And the location can't be beat - one block from the Uffizi, behind the Palazzo Vecchio. The room was very well maintained and very quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning, and the staff was very helpful and attentive (when we asked for a bottle opener in the bar for some wine, we were offered snacks and glasses and a tray, and had the whole thing brought up to us without even asking). They really did exceed our expectations. The price was very competitive; note that it was the low season so we got a great rate. Of all the hotels we stayed in (London, Zurich, Rome and Florence), this was my favorite. Next time I'm in Florence, I will stay there again."
"All our Italy hotels were booked through Venere . They were all excellent, but this was the best. Beautiful hotel and our room was elegant and spacious (including the bathroom). The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere."
"The hotel overall was beautiful and large. We paid for a double deluxe room, and it was large and well-appointed with a queen bed, a safe, and a minibar. (The room was round, which was cool). Private bath; hairdryer supplied. The included buffet breakfast is served in a big room on the second floor, and is very good (they have scrambled eggs for you Americans, plus the usual cheeses, etc.). The hotel is within walking distance of all the places that my wife wanted to see (after 5 days in Rome, Florence seemed very small and we pretty much saw everything the first day). Overall, we loved this hotel."
"Very nice. It's everything that it is cracked up to be."
"The Bernini Palace is in a wonderful location in Florence - just behind the Uffizi and minutes walk from the Duomo. The rooms are decorated in ornate style and our room was a fantastic size (unusual for many Italian hotels). By booking ahead on Venere , we obtained a discounted price for our room which made it very affordable."
"A truly lovely hotel. The room was enormous and very well appointed and the location was fabulous."
"This hotel couldn't be in a better location. literally steps from the Ufizzi and the Palazzo Vecchio, but on a quiet side street. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom beautiful, clean, luxurious. Not that it's that important on vacation, but the hotel received more television channels than other hotels I visited. The staff was professional, kind, attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable. Finally, the breakfast served each morning was wonderful."
"This 4 star was more like a 5 star. Staff was helpful and pleasant...I would highly recommend this hotel in Florence to anyone!"
"As the hotel is situated in the very centre of the town it's an ideal place to start your sightseeing tours. The superior double room is of a conveniant size. The bathroom is very nice."
"Very nice. by far the best hotel of our trip. the breakfast buffet was excellent. again, the best of our trip which included 6 hotels in 3 countries. would stay there again."

"This was my honeymoon and this hotel did serve very generously. Overall very good."
"This is a lovely hotel - beautifully appointed and centrally located (near P.Signoria and Uffizi). We had a double deluxe. It was a very large room, with high ceilings, a large bath room, views over the street (with the Duomo in the background) and tastefully decorated."
"The Bernini Palace is a great hotel. It is centrally located in the heart of all the tourist areas of Firenze. The lobby and public areas are grand--and the rooms are clean, well-appointed and spacious. This hotel rivals any of the best hotels in major US cities. It is difficult to find if driving--but everything is difficult to find in Firenze...We would definitely recommend the Bernini Palace."
"IT WAS A FABULOUS HOTEL. The Room was very cool, quite, elegant and spacious, everything you expected and more, the food was delicious and the service was excellant."
"Thank you for providing outstanding service in a luxurious setting. The staff was very accommodating when we required an additional night's stay at Bernini Palace. We highly recommend this hotel, and plan on returning to Florence next summer.... and to the Bernini Palace."
"The Hotel Bernini at Firenze is really like a dream. The pictures in the Venere site are really good. The crew recieved us friendly."
"The Bernini was far and away the best value for money place I stayed while in Italy. "The overall stay was very positive. The location of the hotel was perfect for what we intended. It is a hotel I would definitly return to."
"Staff were most friendly and accommodating. When we arrived, the extra bed was too soft and lumpy. We notified the front desk and by the time we had finished breakfast, the bed had been replaced to our satisfaction. The hotel was literally a 2 minute walk to the duomo...couldn't have asked for a better location...easy access to everything worth seeing...would not hesitate in going back."
"Hotel Fenice Palace was perfect on all counts; location, breakfast, room, service, price. I have already recommended this hotel to various people who may wish to visit Florence."
"Fantastic location, one block from the Duomo. Rooms are a bit shabby but perfectly functional. Not exactly charming in the old Italian sense but everything was clean and usable."

"A very good hotel in the heart of Florence. The Duomo (cathedral) is only 2 blocks away. Main train station is about a 10 minute walk. Very clean and competent employees. Free breakfast was good, though not spectacular. Noise level though was very high. Everything considered, it was the least expensive hotel. Considering the quality of the stay and the location, an excellent choice."
"THe Hotel was in a terrific location only a block from the Duomo. The staff was very friendly, and breakfast was very good compared to the many others we had on our month long trip. The rooms however were extremely small. But the rooms were clean and the price wasn't bad for Florence. The great location made it very worthwhile."
"We had a wonderful time while at the Fenice Palace! The hotel is perfectly located and the staff was helpful and gracious."

The bathroom was large and had a shower and jacuzzi tub, and all was in working order. Both room and bathroom were immaculate. The breakfast was wonderful. All types of coffee and teas. The location couldn't have been better, everything was within walking distance. With public transportation nearby if desired. When you first walk into the hotel there is a flight of stairs up to the elevator but there is a railing lift if needed. The staff was very friendly and helpfull and the porter was very prompt. They allowed us to store our luggage after we checked out for several hours untill we caught our next train. I think this was the best hotel we stayed in of all the 5 cities we visited in Italy and would highly recommend it to all and will definatly stay here on our next trip."
"Strozzi Palace is an exceptional european hotel. It is central to everything. The piazza strozzi has a wonderful cafe...if you go ask for christian...Our suite was a little noisey at night...but then who could dislike the sounds of Italy at night?!! OUTSTANDING EVERYTHING!!! the only place to stay when in the Tuscany area. We got married at the Palazzo Vecchio!!! It waS A FAIRY TALE AND THE STAFF OF THE HOTEL WAS VERY HELPFUL AND KIND...THEY EVEN SENT US A BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT."
"It is amazing how accurate were the opinions that others visitors wrote about the hotel. Yes, it is superb situated, yes, the room is large and clean, yes, the staff is very friendly. And yes, the public areas are small, yes, there are some 15 steps from the street up to the minuscule elevator. Yes, the room is little noisy, even with the windows closed. The breakfast is good, pretty large selections and they offered almost any type of (good) coffee or tea you like. We liked the hotel very, very much, we will recommend to our friends. Thank you Strozzi Palace staff, thank you Venere for this unforgettable holiday."
"Nice small hotel located in the heart of the historic city center. Walking distance to Duomo (2 blocks), museums, Ponte Vecchio, shopping, etc.... very convenient."
"A very good hotel but it was in a very difficult area of Florence to get too with all the one way systems and pedestrian areas. The room was perfect with plenty of room for the wheelchair. The only trouble was we had to pay seperately for parking and it was rather expensive."
"I was a little worried upon first arrival because the lobby is small and disjointed. Then I opened the door to our beautiful, spacious room. High ceilings and beautiful details were more than expected. The bathroom was large and also well appointed. The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. The location was convenient. Overall I was very satisfied with Strozzi Palace, esspecially considering this was the least expensive hotel we stayed at in Italy."

"Enjoyed the hotel and the room. Thought it was particularly well set-up for a family traveling with a child. The only negative was the high price charged for parking. Some typical guests' reviews:
"Unbelieveable! Both properties were exceptional in all regards. The staff was outstanding, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a very wonderful stay in Venice and Florence. Additionally, one of the Concerge's at the Plaza Hotel Lucchesi (Romano) deserves special mention. He did everything possible and more to help us."
"We went to Florence to get married and stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. As it was a special occasion, we were given an upgrade to a river facing room with balcony which was absolutely beautiful and much appreciated by us. This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with lovely service."
"Plaza Lucchesi made our stay in Florence a very pleasant experience. The hotel consierge was a big help with reservations, directions, and suggestions. We always felt welcome."
"The hotel was very nice, well situated and the staff were particularly frendly and very helpfull."
"The staff at the Lucchesi were the friendliest and most helpful of all the hotels we stayed in while in Italy. They even managed to get us reservations in first class on the train to Rome on the Friday of the Railway strike and had the tickets dellivered to the hotel. There was always someone to open the door at the hotel and help people with their bags and did it with a smile. The housekeeping staff were effecient and friendly also. I cannot say enough good things."
"Excellent room with a nice view of the city of Florence. Service was high quality and fast. The restaurant, at breakfast, tends to get crowded. Prices were very fair."
"I spent a wonderful day in your hotel, the price was reasonable and this is certainly not the last time that I will use your services. Many thanks."
"My sister and I had a great stay at this lovely hotel. Our room had a beautiful view. This is a great place for runners to stay. Lots of options for good runs minus tourists."
